Reaching within ourselves to learn more about how and why we are the way we are is a life long journey. This journey is somewhat hit and miss, since life gets in the way as other priorities take center stage. There are ways however, to make this journey more active. Meditation helps us get more centered and it has profound affects on the depth of the journey. When we include symbolism, metaphor, rituals and archetypes in our guided visualizations, we empower ourselves to dig deeper into the layers of our mind, reaching into antiquity itself.


Someone asked me what this all means and what actually do we get out of it in our daily lives. Well, we all know that meditation reduces stress, but it also helps to heal the body, mind and disturbances in our emotions; increases focus and attention; opens up the heart and mind to the possibilities in living; connects us to our higher power; and creates a sense of internal well being. Mindful meditation or being present in the moment, makes each moment more meaningful, fulfilling and our relationships more rewarding.
